I
have been a chronically depressed person for years now,
on and off,
both for long periods of time, and i always wondered
what the cause
of depression was from a spiritual stand point. I can
still remember
when i was care free and not depressed, but i can also
remember when i began to become depressed and the
experiences that contributed to
this condition. Medically they say its a chemical
imbalance, but i
believe it has more to do wit the spirit then the
physical, as
everything is spirit. I figure that like all diseases,
it starts with
spiritual, and then if it remains unresolved for
sometime manifests
as disease somewhere in the body. I was wondering if
anyone can shed
some light on what depression is and other related
insights with
regards to depression.
Thankx

Dear Kyyan
"Depression" can be a result of all sorts of causes and
you seem to
know when these started, so its not a "generalised"
depression but
you probably need to "deal" with some "issues" in your
life.
Depression can also come "inadvertently" through
influences in our
environment. There is a main general reason for
"depression" and
that is "neglect of the Spirit".
That is why I would like to suggest that you take
yourself to a SY
centre where they are very well equipped to help you to
get in touch
with your Spirit.
There are really very wonderful yogis who can help you
there. Do not
be afraid. Perhaps get your "physical" help from there
and ask
your "questions" at the forum here. That way it will
probably work
out best. You could also tell us how things are going
and we could
reassure you in this venture.
The yogis will deal more with the "depression" itself
than
the "reason" for it. If there are "psychological" or
"physical"
reasons for it, getting your SR and help from yogis is
the best way
to get you a new start. They will help you to get into
"thoughtless
awareness" and into "balance".
They will help you to get your connection with your
spirit and this
will help you to "deal" with your "depression".
Divine mantras help a lot. If you are ready, ask them to
do
the "mantras" with you, because they will awaken the
"deities"
within your chakras so that the "spiritual qualities"
can start
flowing within you.
You will get all the "spiritual" and "moral" support you
need on
this website and also "spiritual" and "physical" support
you need at
the SY collective.
Please do this for yourself. You will not regret it. It
is time to
look after your Spirit. Your Spirit is wanting you to
look after
yourself.
One step at a time does it. That's how we grow. One step
at a time.

JSMJ,
I am a sikh girl. I was depressed .I came to know about
this site and
started doing meditation.I had visited Sahaja centre 4
times. My life
has now changed.
I am out of depression. My problem is that my family is
not allowing
me to visit centre because I am from sikh family. They
think ,It will
create problems for me after marriage because it will
not be
acceptable for my in-laws also to do meditation and
doing such
actions like bandhan and kundali raising. My family
think that they
will think I am performing some black magic on them. As
in our
religion, it is compulsory to do prayer only in front of
Shri Guru
Granth Sahib and not in front of any hindu diety or
others. I am
doing meditation daily without telling my family. But I
could not
receive vibrations as I could not do collective
meditation now. So
can anyone guide me. Can any person from sikh family
contact me on my mail id?
Eager to see the reply soon.

Subject: Re: Depression. What is the cause??
Dear Neha Maan,
Your story "confirms" that help can be obtained from SY
centre
for "depression". You are fortunate that at this time of
our "spiritual resurrection" we can be changed, all
through the
incarnation of Sri Mataji Nirmala Devi.
No person, even the Sikh religion and family have the
power
to "enter" your "temple" within. You can use your
outer "restrictions" to make your "inner" freedom even
sweeter.
You can also pray to Sri Ganesha who is the Remover of
all Obstacles
and state your desires to him and to SM.
God hears and answers prayer and your prayer may be to
be a "shining
light" within your own community, indeed showing the
qualities of
love, peace, joy and compassion to others.
You can also go into your "private" room to pray. You do
not have to
have any pictures; anything; just pray from the "temple"
of your
heart wherein are all the "deities" on your every "chakra".
They are literally there, as evidenced by Kash, so you
can meditate
upon them from within.
In Jesus' time, there were many "secret" worshipers who
were not
allowed to "outwardly" show their faith. It is not an
unheard of
situation, so "take courage" from that knowledge.
You do not have to depend upon others to "receive
vibrations".
You can give yourself "vibrations".
You will receive "vibrations" when you "meditate" upon
the "deities"
within your subtle system.
Receiving of "vibrations" within you happen when the
"deities"
within "awaken" and a "wind" of the Holy Spirit
circulates within
and around you.
My own family do not know I am SY. They are
Fundamentalist Christian
and would think that I have joined a "Hindu Cult".
However, it is
easier for me as they live in Canada and I live in
Australia.
The world is also going through a religious revolution
and
eventually there will be a "breaking down" of "religions
barriers"
that do not accept all the "flowers" of the "tree of
life" (i.e. all
the prophets and incarnations). This is very much coming
into "world
attention" now and will be much more so in the future.
In other
worlds, the "Sikh" religion could change in the future
to accept SY;
this could be your prayer too; you can help this change
to come
about by your "desire". You see we each have our place
(physical)
where we can "effect" transformation in this world.
A last "tip" is that "please do not see yourself as
being restricted
but having the freedom of the Spirit within yourself".
Others will
see that and wonder what your "secret" is.
I am not from a Sikh background but I hope this will
help you.

Thank you so much as well for the frank and str-8
forward response,
which in many ways is like a wake up call to reality
and a full
fledge push in the right direction, as opposed to a
nudge. I
definitely need that as i am a master at coming up
with excuses for
me not to do things, no matter how good they are for
me need that.
Thankx.

Dear Kyyan,
Our bodies are literally the "temple of the Holy
Spirit". Located on each chakra, is the "deity" of that
chakra. If you read about Kash's knowledge from
Sahasrara, he actually saw them on each of his chakras.
So its real; not a figment of our imagination. Actually,
the fact that "Kash" has seen this, makes it even more
"real" for me and I understand it better for that
knowledge.
I have chosen the "mantra" for the Agnya Chakra to give
you an example. The mantra is in Sanskrit, because this
is the source of all languages today and the oldest
language on earth and very vibrational.
"Jesus" and "Mary" are the deities who came at this time
in our evolution to teach us the lessons of "love" and
"forgiveness", etc.
This is how it goes:-
"Om twameva Sakshat" (means "Thou art that Thou art")
"Sri Jesus Mary Sakshat" (means "Jesus/Mary art Thou)
"Shri Adi Shakti Mataji" (means that all Deities are in
Shri Mataji the
Great Primordial Mother)
"Shri Nirmala Devi" (Immaculate Goddess)
"Namoh, Namah!" (form of acknowledgment)
When you "say" it or "sing" it, the mantra "awakens" Sri
Jesus and Sri Mary within you and as they awaken within
you, they create vibrations within you and bring you
"qualities" related to this chakra. Jesus taught
forgiveness and love. You will "automatically" have
within you like a flower opening, the qualities of
"forgiveness" and "love" happening within you. I call
these "mantras" Divine", because when you sincerely say
them, they activate the Grace of God within your Inmost
Self. "Divine" also is connected to the word "Devi". In
fact, a "Devi" could be called "Divine", just as God is
Divine. These deities are all One; part of God Himself.
It just helps to have someone to show you the first time
how to do it,
that's all. Once someone has shown you, you can do it
yourself. You can even try it yourself if you want.
There is no hard and fast rule here but it does help to
be shown.

Violet,
I think you are right. I think that i am getting
caught up in such
things and that really asking questions of this sort
is really not
conducive to any progress in anyway, but on the
contrary, just
getting me wrapped up in things that ultimately i am
trying to
escape. I also think that you are right and i should
go out and get
my spiritual awakening, get balanced and healed, and
then revisit any
question of this kind. hank you for our time and
response of course
and i am going to do just that.
